Ping
Ping sends a few small packets to the server and measures how long they take to come back. You will see whether the server is reachable and how fast the connection is.
How to read the result
- Latency in milliseconds
- The time a packet takes to reach the server and come back. Under 30 ms the connection is excellent; above 150 ms you will notice the delay in games and calls.
- Packet loss
- How many packets did not come back. Ideally 0%. Occasional loss often means a congested line or weak Wi-Fi signal.
- Server does not respond
- Some servers have ping disabled for security reasons. The website on them can still work normally.
