What data we process and why
Showing your IP address
The main service of the website is to show you your public IP address and the information public databases list about it: hostname (reverse DNS record), provider, AS number, network and approximate location. We determine the location from the DB-IP database stored on our server – your IP address is not sent anywhere.
- Data: IP address and data derived from it.
- Legal basis: providing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Retention: we do not store the result. We keep the hostname in a cache for at most 1 hour so the page loads faster.
When you connect over IPv6, the page also detects your IPv4 address by querying ipv4.mojaipadresa.sk, which runs on the same server.
Network tools (ping, traceroute, port checker)
- Data: the domain or IP address you enter, the port number, your IP address.
- Purpose: running the test and preventing abuse (limiting the number of tests per IP address).
- Legal basis: providing the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: we do not store test results. The test counter for your IP address is deleted automatically after 10 minutes.
Bot protection – Cloudflare Turnstile
We protect the tools with Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a test is started by a person and not an automated script. Turnstile shows no ads and does not use data to track you across websites. During the check it mainly processes your IP address, browser and device information, and signals about your behaviour on the page.
- Processor: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the service from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Transfers outside the EU: Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision.
- More in the Turnstile privacy policy.
Turnstile is loaded only on the tool pages (ping, traceroute, port checker).
Location map
The map with the approximate location of the IP address is loaded from our map server maps.nrlbs.com (operated by NeuroLabs) with OpenStreetMap data. When loading, the map server receives your IP address and the coordinates of the displayed place. We do not use this data for any other purpose.
Visitor statistics
- Data: shortened IP address, device and browser type, language, pages visited, time of visit and the page you came from.
- Purpose: understanding how the website is used and improving it.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent, measurement does not start.
- Retention: detailed records for at most 13 months, after that only anonymous summaries.
We use Matomo for statistics, running on our own server. Data is not sent to advertising networks or other companies. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the .
Server security
- Data: IP address, request time, page address and browser information in server logs.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: at most 30 days, or until a security incident is resolved.

Automated decision-making
We make no automated decisions or profiling with legal effects on you. Turnstile and the test limit only temporarily prevent starting another test.

- to access your personal data,

Obligation to provide data
Providing data is voluntary. However, the page cannot technically be displayed without an IP address, and we cannot run a test without a domain or IP address.
